There’s plenty of cake at our 25th!

How to celebrate a milestone birthday with those who helped us reach it? With lots of “cake” at our Black Friday – Cyber Monday Sale* with “less 25%” on all DACs and Integrateds as the icing on the cake from 23 – 26 November inclusive (your local time) via our website store. 

That settled, the only question that slowed us down was which “cake” to offer to you, as our loyal supporters over these last 25 years! (“25 years, 25% – get it?“!)

True, we are a tiny bit late in announcing the anniversary of REDGUM’s birth earlier in the Spring of 1993. But we proudly remember the name of the our first-born, the RGi120 (120Wpc) Integrated. Noted for his prowess even as a young ‘un, over the years he grew bigger and stronger. And look at him now! He’s all grown up as the Articulata (200Wpc) Amplifolia Integrated.

The Articulata’s cloned half-brother is the Black RGi120ENR  (175Wpc) Integrated, and in a tussle, they go neck ‘n neck – clone versus original. The younger Integrated clones put in a good showing, too – Black RGi60ENR  (120Wpc) &  Black RGi35ENR (65Wpc) – as do the younger originals, the wood-fronted Stellulata (60Wpc) and the Aquilina (120Wpc) Amplifolia Integrateds.

Way back in the REDGUM playground years, a REDGUM DAC appeared in 1997. And as he didn’t have his front panel, or drive, he was called the Ugly DACling. Long since established as the RGDAC5 (and its CDP version, the RGCD5ENR, both with wood front panels), history has continued to take its course. Taking the sonics of the RGDAC5 as its springboard, the RGDAC8  leapt into the USB sphere of influence as a multi-format and hi-res DAC. (That it is an Asynchronous DAC doesn’t need highlighting as all REDGUM DACs have been Asynchronous since 1997.)

Choices, choices! And as every great amp wants to be fed by a great DAC, one can never have too much “cake”.
