First presented as the RGS28i, these are the little Standmount speakers that stunned them in England, even back in 1998. In fact, spontaneous ovations during Shows have been known to break out after their performance!

Continuing as a 2-way, 2 driver system, they were re-designed internally as the RGSB Bookshelf Loudspeaker (christened Manna *) … using exclusively high-voltage metallized polypropylene caps … heavy 1mm wire for the bass coil … all connections silver soldered … and internal hook-up throughout with 12 AWG OFC copper.

Handcrafted in Australia, they are not just a stunning looker with their gloss finish over real Red Gum wood veneer, but as well they amaze all who listen to them! …

* And the choice of name? Well, Eucalyptus viminalis subspecies viminalis doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue when compared to its common name, Manna Gum. Along with Red Gum trees, they are but two species of the many Eucalyptus trees Australia has brought to the world … that are perhaps best known for koalas eating them. But why the choice of the name Manna? Koalas can’t be too wrong, with gum leaves definitely appearing as their “food from the Gods”! As recorded since the most ancient of times, some plants have been known to produce a sugary sap, aided by insects boring the holes through which it oozes, which was then gathered as a source of food. In the case of this gum tree, the Australian Aborigines ate the sap once it dropped off the “manna” (the twigs) in bits. On another level, who can dispute that music provides us with such sweet nourishment for the spirit?
