REDGUM Audio to cease manufacturing!
Soundstage! Australia’s reviewer, Edgar Kramer, is the first to announce that…
REDGUM Audio is to cease manufacturing on 1 January 2025.
Indeed, thirty-one years since the first amplifier (the RGi120 integrated) was unveiled, there is plenty to list in the chronology of REDGUM Audio’s catalogue of Stereo and Home Theatre Systems.
A great read at the Soundstage! Australia link above; otherwise, in brief:
What started with one amplifier in 1993 became REDGUM’s award-winning, high-current range of 11 Stereo amplifiers, 2 Home Theatre amplifiers and 8 Subwoofer plate amplifiers. A total of 21 different amplifiers, 15 of which have been available since 2001, until revamped as the all Signature Series Amplifolia range in 2015.
The need for “Stunning!” sound must be delivered by more than just the amplifier. Hence, all the options to complete systems for Home Stereo and Home Theatre were long a part of the REDGUM range – Speakers and unique CD Players, the latter morphing into their Hi-Res version as DAC & Media Player.
All with one aim:
“Once heard on a REDGUM, such expectations cannot be un-heard.”
How to raise such expectations? … it’s not too late to become an owner!
